or the Memling Museum in the old Saint John's Hospital with its permanent exhibition about the hospital itself and the magnificent collection of Memling paintings.
Damme
This cosy, medieval town, once the outer port of Bruges, is situated some five kilometres (three miles) from Bruges. Today, it is a tourist centre for gastronomy but the fifteenth century town hall, the old church and the medieval street pattern are still worth visiting.
